In 2014, the California Sustainable Groundwater Management Act was signed into law to provide local agencies with the framework to manage groundwater basins in a sustainable manner, recognizing that groundwater is most effectively managed at the local level. Public Notice for Temporary Water Right Permit Application of the Aliso Water District: Aliso Water District filed a temporary water right permit application on August 16, 2018 to appropriate surface water flows for underground storage. Pursuant to Water Code section 1428, subdivision (d), any interested person may file an objection to the temporary diversion and use of water, with copy to the Aliso Water District. Objections must be received by the State Water Board by 4:30 p.m. on November 12, 2018.
Aliso Water District GSA Board Meetings: The Aliso Water District GSA Board of Directors meet on the fourth Tuesday of every quarter at 2 p.m. at the Aliso Water District office, located at 13991 Avenue 7 in Madera, California. Board meeting agendas are posted a week before the meeting.
